DO NOT over-tighten the trigger spray – this will cause the glass to “thread” the closure and it might become loose.
DO NOT leave your bottles sitting for ages with your mixtures unused. Oils/lemon juice can harden and cause blockages.
A large concentration of vinegar can corrode the mechanisms in the trigger and cause it to jam. A dilution using ¼ cup is still effective and prevents this problem (see recipes).
Wash the bottles between mixtures and spray warm water through the trigger spray to remove any build up of residue.
Too much essential oil can clog the spray mechanism. Go easy on how much you add. You can always add more later.
If using minerals such as borax, washing soda and bicarb soda make sure they are fully dissolved before spraying.
