Warm. Sweet. Spiced.

Steam distilled from the dried inner bark of the Ceylon cinnamon tree, this is cinnamon at its richest. A reddish-brown oil with a deep, comforting aroma that instantly makes a home feel lived in.

Cinnamon Bark is naturally high in cinnamaldehyde and eugenol, the compounds behind its signature scent and its reputation as a natural cleansing oil. A few drops go a long way.

Use it in your home

Add to the diffuser on cool evenings. Blend into a room spray with perfumer's alcohol. Mix through a homemade surface spray for a warm, spiced clean. Pair with sweet orange and ginger for a festive scent that feels like the holidays.

Blends beautifully with

Orange Sweet, Lemon, Ginger, Cardamom, Frankincense.

For skin

Cinnamon Bark is one of the most potent oils you can own, so dilute well. Use a maximum of 1–2% for body (2–4 drops per 10ml carrier oil) and 0.5–1% for face (1–2 drops per 10ml). Always patch test first.

Product Info

Warm, Spiced Comfort for a Beautiful Home

Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil is the true cinnamon of Sri Lanka and southern India. It is steam distilled from the dried inner bark of the Cinnamomum zeylanicum tree. The oil is rich and reddish brown, with a sweet, spicy warmth you will recognise instantly. One of the most potent oils you can own, it brings depth to cleaning blends, diffuser recipes and homemade scents. A few drops go a long way.

What is Cinnamon Bark?

Cinnamon Bark oil comes from the same tree as the cinnamon quills in your pantry. The bark is dried, then steam distilled to capture its aromatic compounds. It is naturally high in cinnamaldehyde, which gives cinnamon its signature scent, and eugenol, the warm, clove-like note also found in clove oil.

It is not the same as Cassia, a cheaper, harsher relative often sold as "cinnamon". Nor is it Cinnamon Leaf oil, which is distilled from the leaves and smells closer to clove.

Aroma profile

Warm, rich, sweet and spicy, with a soft woody depth. Comforting, cosy and familiar. A middle note that adds body and warmth to any blend.
